Florida Soil Scientist Certification
Florida Soil Scientist CertificationA certification for soil scientists in Florida has been instituted in cooperation with FAESS and SSSA.
Certification Requirements The requirements are outlined in detail here. In summary, soil scientists must be CPSS from SSSA and successfully complete a FAESS/UF Florida soils calibration course.
Florida Calibration Course Part of the certification process involves successful compeltion of a FAESS/UF course. The intent of this course is to calibrate qualified soil scientists to the variety and often subtle morphologies of Florida soils. The goal is to offer this course annually according to demand.
2011 Course The next certification course is slated for Summer of 2011. An agenda is currently being developed and will be placed here as soon as completed. Contact Dr. Rex Ellis for more information. |
