Hydrologic Interpretations of Land and Soils

What is HILS?

Hydrologic Interpretations of Land and Soils (HILS) is the set of information about water movement through soils. Soil scientists obtain this information by observing and instrumenting soils.

The 2016 Inaugural HILS workshop will be held on Thrusday June 2 in Citra and Waldo, FL (Gainesville, FL). Click here for agenda. The focus is water movement through soil. The teaching approach will be similar to the FAESS Hydric soil Workshops, we'll just expand our view up the hill to include better drained soils and connect the dots across the landscape.
