Mission
To operate as a charitable and educational association, to foster the wise use of soils and the understanding of the importance of soils to the environment and humankind.
Founded in 1975
We are an organization of like-minded individuals who have a passion for soil. We currently have approximately 90 members. Each fall we hold our business meeting at a different location around the state. In the spring we host the hydric soil workshop. Several of us meet to assist in Land Judging and Envirothon school contests. Each of these activities is an opportunity to calibrate ourselves amongst each other and to renew old friendships. If you share our passion for soil, we invite you to join and attend one of our meetings or workshops.
